Without Michelle, none of this would be possible. With her guidance, love, and generosity, I am proud to say I am attending my dream school. Every time I had a lesson with her she was a constant source and encouragement and light. It is so helpful to have a fellow believer pour their time and energy into helping you refine your skills! Throughout my senior year and college audition process, Michelle helped me find countless monologues and songs that would best suit my abilities. She took time to learn who I was and to figure out what pieces would show my true self. Every lesson we had would make me feel more confident as a performer. If something wasn’t right with timing or emotions, she would take the time to work those beats out with me and help me improve even more. She is intentional with her time and with her students. I am forever grateful for the mentorship, leadership, and friendship she has given me. It would be a shame not to take advantage of working with Michelle!!

I came to Michelle the summer before college auditions with no rep and having never taken private lessons of any kind. But by the time I filmed my prescreens just a couple short months later, I felt extremely prepared. When I started lessons with Michelle, I saw monologues as a necessary evil, but my time with Michelle has made monologues something I both enjoy and am very comfortable with. Michelle will not only find material that will both push you and fit you perfectly, but she is also adept at taking your personality and personal experiences and using them to help you to more authentically perform your monologues. She can be part acting coach, part therapist, part friend and part fellow theatregoer all in the span of an hour and I couldn’t imagine going through the college auditions process without her.

As an international student, I’m confident to say I couldn’t have done this process without Michelle. Doing this was unlike anything I had experienced before, and surely an enormous lesson. I had no idea what I was doing, had never taken any private acting lessons or even prepared repertoire before. Michelle really took the time to get to know me and help me find material that would best showcase who I am. From choosing a song to looking over an outfit, she really helped me feel confident in my decisions. Countless times she was there for me (and still is!) when I had any doubts or was feeling really overwhelmed with this process. The peace of mind that I received thanks to working with her is unmeasurable. Thanks to her, I felt calm and confident when I stepped into those audition rooms. I don’t know what I would’ve done without Michelle to guide me and I certainly can’t thank her enough! Working with Michelle was the best decision I have made.

Michelle has been so incredibly helpful to me throughout this entire college audition process. She gave me a huge range of monologues to read and choose from, and she helped me select the ones that were right for me. She looked over my prescreen and wild card videos, and she helped me work on my live auditions. She made suggestions that helped me immensely. Michelle is easy to talk to, and I learned a lot from her. She was a lot of fun too! I can honestly say I couldn’t be happier with her help throughout this college audition process. Whenever I was unsure about how to proceed, I’d book an appointment with Michelle, and she was always amazingly helpful. She is knowledgeable, and always he answered any questions I had.She was always encouraging, and her training boosted my confidence. When I needed to choose which college to attend, Michelle helped me determine which college programs were best for me. I ended up accepting a BFA acting program that I’m thrilled about, and I can’t thank Michelle enough for all of her guidance and support throughout this process! Thanks so much, Michelle!

Michelle Evans of MJE Acting Studio was probably the single most important resource throughout my daughter’s college audition preparation. Like many musical theater kids, she had not done many straight plays and really needed help with finding material, scene study, and overall acting instruction. She has passed all of her prescreens so far and feels ready to tackle college audition season. I highly recommend Michelle Evans and her knowledgeable, yet extremely personable approach to theater training.
BFA Musical Theatre @ Missouri State University
Michelle Evans went above and beyond in preparing me for college auditions. The guidance through choosing material, filming prescreens, interview questions, live auditions, outfits, etc. was incredibly positive, resulting in a calm and knowledgeable season of college auditions. Michelle cares about her students, and makes sure they understand what is going on at all times. The coaching sessions we had to work on my audition material played into my senior year play/musical performances, as her acting/acting through song instruction changed the way I performed my pieces. Michelle knows how to navigate the college audition process with class and wisdom and I could not recommend anyone more fun, knowledgeable, or inspiring to work with

When I decided to pursue a degree in musical theater, I knew it would be difficult for me and my family to navigate the process on our own. I began to learn more about how Michelle could help with this process and now that it’s over, I am certain Michelle was a lifesaver! Working with her was a collaborative process, she always pointed me in the right direction while never taking the driver seat. She helped me find material that fit me, but most importantly, material that I wanted to perform. Michelle not only coached me through the material, but was also extremely helpful in explaining the complicated college audition process. Through Michelle and CAP United Auditions, I was able to make connections with many different schools, professionals in the field, and fellow peers who were navigating the same process. She supported me the whole way through until my final decision. I will forever be grateful to Michelle and CAP United Auditions for helping me find an amazing program to continue my training at a university that is an ideal fit for me!

I can not express how grateful I am that Michelle guided me through the college audition process. I worked with her all throughout highschool and have discovered so much about the acting world and myself as an actor. I was extremely prepared throughout auditions as I am now majoring in Musical Theatre. Now being in college I still feel prepared to tackle what is next. It is only the first week and we already have auditions but I am more than prepared to jump right in due to Michelle’s amazing coaching. I highly recommend going to Michelle for everything from college audition help or even just acting lessons to improve. I can not thank her enough for all that she has done for me and highly recommend working with her!

Michelle Evans went above and beyond in preparing me for college auditions. After my first college audition process in 2021, I discovered Michelle and MJE Acting Studio while preparing for my second year of college auditions. Working with Michelle helped me discover a love for Acting after years of only doing MT. She made each coaching so exciting and collaborative throughout, making our zoom coachings the highlight of my day!! She allowed me a space to dive in 100% and always made sure I was happy with every detail! Our focus was to be proud of what I presented to schools in that moment. She also made sure I felt prepared going into every audition, interview, and callback I had. Michelle was truly wonderful throughout, and will never stop encouraging her students to be their true, authentic selves! I highly recommend her for anyone going into their college auditions, Acting or MT!

I absolutely loved having Michelle guide me through the college audition process. She has so much knowledge and knows exactly what to do to get you ready. She is very dedicated to making sure you are confident when you go in those rooms. I’ve also had the opportunity to have her as a director and that led me to taking private lessons because I love her teaching style. I would highly recommend taking from Michelle, I know I wouldn’t be where I am today without her help.

Michelle is one of the best coaches I’ve ever worked with! I’ve absolutely loved learning from her, and I couldn’t have navigated my college auditions without her help and guidance. Working with Michelle has helped me gain both skill and confidence as a performer, and as a person. She is incredibly patient and kind, and I always leave my lessons feeling accomplished. Michelle helped me get from day one of pre-screen prep, all the way to committing to the perfect BFA program for me! I’m so grateful to have had the opportunity to learn from her. I wouldn’t be where I am today without Michelle. Taking lessons from her is definitely one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. Whenever anyone tells me they’re considering auditioning for college theatre programs, she’s always the first person I recommend!!

Working with Michelle J. Evans has strengthened both my technique and confidence as an actor. Along with providing detailed strategy for monologue performance, she also trained me to incorporate believable, personal story arch’s into my songs and dances as well. In the year we spent preparing for college auditions, she provided material resources, emotional support, and weekly lessons to prepare for the ever-changing requirements of digital prescreens and live auditions. Our time together, both meeting digitally and closely in-person, was truly essential to my success in the BFA Musical Theatre audition process. I could not recommend her more.

Before I took lessons with Michelle, I wasn’t exactly sure what I was getting myself into with the college audition process. There was a LOT of information that seemed overwhelming at first, but she helped me go through it and feel secure before I actually auditioned anywhere. With each lesson I understood more about how to let yourself shine through monologues, songs, and even your slate! I really would not be where I am right now without Michelle; I feel so much better about my acting, and performing as a whole, thanks to her teaching. You really won’t regret taking lessons with this wonderful woman.

I initially sought out Michelle’s help, not knowing much about the college audition process. That quickly changed as she guided me through it all. She made the college audition process as stress free as possible. Michelle is a wonderful acting coach and mentor. She worked with me on breaking down my pieces beat by beat and helped me to find the true intention of the characters in my pieces. Michelle hand picked monologues for me to show who I am through my art. She encouraged me to represent my best unique and authentic self in my college auditions. All of her training and preparation uplifted my confidence, especially when I walked into the audition rooms. She also supported me after CAP auditions with guidance regarding my questions about school visits, next steps and final decisions. I wouldn’t have been able to navigate the college audition process without Michelle. I’m so thankful for her endless support and encouragement!

Having Michelle as an acting and college audition coach was most definitely one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. Not only did she help me find audition pieces and give me the best training possible, but she really made me feel more comfortable and confident as an actor and overall performer. After beginning lessons with her, I feel extremely prepared going into auditions. I truly wouldn’t have gotten through this process without her and everything she’s done for me, and I am forever grateful for all of her love and support. I highly recommend having Michelle as an acting and/or college audition coach.

My private lessons with Michelle throughout my senior year were lifesaving. Not only did she help me prepare my college audition package, but also helped me navigate my way through the crazy process of auditioning for colleges. Long before starting lessons, Michelle has directed me in many musicals and I have always learned a lot from her teaching style. Even while I’ve been away at college, Michelle’s FaceTime lessons and advice has been a huge help while adjusting to a brand new lifestyle and environment. I highly recommend her for private acting training and college audition prep, because she will make sure that your best self shines on stage or in an audition!

I’ve worked with Michelle for a little more than two years, and I can honestly say she has been such a lifesaver. Throughout senior year, she not only helped me get my college audition package ready, but she helped me become a much more confident actress, and she also became my rock to lean on. Through her expansive knowledge on acting techniques, I became a much more well rounded actress after just a few months into the college audition process. After the audition process, I know I will always have an incredible teacher and mentor to turn to if I’m ever in need.

I went into the college audition process pretty clueless, so needless to say there is NO way I could have achieved what I did without Michelle. She was so patient and worked so hard to help me find material that I felt powerful in. She was so much more than just a coach- she was a friend and a mentor! Working with Michelle is one of the best things you can do for yourself in this process!

Prior to starting lessons with Michelle I was stressed and completely lost on the college audition process. From my first lesson with Michelle she walked me through what I needed to know and continued to adequately prepare me for my auditions, and guide me through my material. Her insight on college programs helped me decide what schools I was interested in and a step but step way to go about auditioning. Not only that, but she helped me grow as a person, an actor, and my confidence in my craft. Michelle is a constant source of encouragement, grace, and patience. I can confidently say that I would not be where I am without the help of Michelle. Taking advantage of her skills was one of the best decisions I made!

Michelle transformed me as an actor. I felt so prepared for my college auditions and so much of that is thanks to her. I received excellent training from her my senior year which laid a strong foundation for my freshman year of college. I also had the privilege of working with her for many years as my director. She continuously pushed me out of my comfort zone, and I am so grateful for how it caused me to grow and strengthen me in my craft. She is an absolute joy to work with and I cannot strongly enough recommend her for training.

I’ve taken acting lessons with Michelle throughout my senior year with the focus being college auditions. Not only has she trained me to be at my best when performing at auditions, she’s prepared me for the audition season so that I can feel confident at any college campus. Her insight on college programs has been very useful, from helping me decide which schools to audition for to what I should expect on audition day. Additionally, I was very happy with my pre-screen videos after our filming sessions. She always knows what to say to bring out the best in my acting, and she’s made monologues a lot less scary for me. I highly recommend her for private acting training, especially if college auditions are the next thing on your plate.

Michelle has been a lifesaver throughout the daunting college audition process! I loved working with Michelle this past year and learned so much from her. Michelle fully prepared me and was always available to help as the year progressed. In my case, a strong set of materials and Michelle’s coaching helped result in offers from around the country from great colleges. One of the hardest parts of the audition season became which college to choose! I highly recommend Michelle to any student about to embark on the college audition journey. The time and money couldn’t be better spent. We are forever grateful to Michelle for making a difference in my life and career path!

Michelle really helped me feel prepared and ready for college auditions! Working with her each week, only during my last year before college I grew as an actor, immensely! She was a big contribution to how prepared I was going to college, and because I had that I now feel like I’m doing much better, than if I hadn’t! Since being at college I have had online lessons with Michelle to help me with upcoming auditions and material selection. She has continued to be a big support for me!
Michelle Evans is one of the best directors I’ve been blessed to work with! She asks questions that no other person would think to. She informs your performance simply through a question. She’s strategic and brilliant in everything she does. From the blocking to emotional cues, she’s incredible! The way she trains is unlike any other teacher! My favorite director by far and a better person. She’s hilarious but she’s also a great support system for any actor.
I have been working with Michelle for two years now, and I have grown so much as an actress. She has pushed me out of my acting comfort zones and I am so thankful! I have grown in confidence and really come into my self in the musical theater world because of her! I truly recommend her if you want to do Musical Theater for college or you want to grow as an actor/ actress!
Christopher’s Mom
Our family has been so blessed by Michelle. She has been an inspiration to our youngest child, Christopher. From the first audition when Christopher forgot his words and Michelle helping him along to Michelle being instrumental in developing Christopher’s role as Young Simba in the production of The Lion King. I always knew that Michelle was Christopher’s biggest cheerleader. I could see it with her positive instruction, her caring ways and her encouraging words to Christopher. I can’t really imagine Michelle not being a part of Christopher’s life. Christopher has the upmost respect for Michelle. He tries to please her and do his best. Michelle got Christopher involved in the new City Springs Theatre in Sandy Springs, GA and Christopher landed a lead role during his first camp. Although Michelle does not live in Georgia, I know that Christopher will be on her mind when new opportunities present themselves. Thank you Michelle! We always know you will forever be a part of Christopher’s life!!
Annie’s Mom
I had a confident student going into a year long commitment with Michelle. Once we were about 2 months in, I realized that she was confident in certain areas, but working with Michelle helped her to become a well rounded acting student. The things that Michelle tweaked were game changers for my daughter. Her help with audition pieces and the way that she was able to boost her trust in herself with monologues and different acting techniques was priceless. Michelle is open and accessible to parents and has a way of putting students at ease. Michelle was just what we needed to take our daughter to the next level. We look forward to continuing to work with her for the future.
